Teaching Evaluation

Teaching staff should receive relevant feedback on their individual teaching courses. They can therefore select the evaluation procedure according to their own interests, and they can make their own decisions regarding the distribution of the results. To ensure further development, individual courses that are offered continuously should be evaluated at least every four semesters, and teaching staff should carry out a course evaluation after three semesters during which they have held one or more courses continuously.

A broader reflection of a number of courses, or f the student advice and support that is given by several teaching staff members as a whole, can be done by a method which the Angewandte has developed across several pilot projects addressing this focus of interest: Workshop Café – Student Reflections & Perspectives captures student feedback through a discussion lasting several hours which the students hold separated from teaching activities under the moderation of UQE. The reflection can be directed towards a period of study (e.g. semester, academic year) as well as towards a specific group of courses (e.g. central artistic subject). It may be requested from UQE by artistic or scientific departments, by committees responsible for the study courses, or by curriculum committees.
