Online Services

For the planning and managing of your studies the Angewandte offers students several online services.

Password

Initially, the password for your student account, the base etc. is sent out as part of the admission process.

It is recommended to log into the Online-Service for Students at service.uni-ak.ac.at/studierende and to reset the password.

In case of loss of your password please get in touch with the Office of Student Affairs.

base Angewandte

With your student password you have access to all base functions at base.uni-ak.ac.at.

Registration/Subscription to courses

Registration to courses is only possible online through the base Angewandte. Apart from this you can also use the base to subscribe to courses. Subscriptions can be displayed in a calendar to help with the creation of your study plan. Subscribers of courses also receive information about changes of dates, cancellations etc. More information can be found under Courses.

Calendar

By using the calendar-stream the dates of the courses you've subscribed to as well as those you are registered to are added to your calendar by default. Any later changes by the lecturer will also be transferred to your calendar.

Cloud

The cloud that is part of the base Angewandte offers the possibility to upload and share files, entire folders or single documents. You can access your files via PC, tablet, smartphone etc. at any time. 

Client/App

It is recommended to install the OwnCloud-client/App on your PC, tablet, smartphone, etc. This way the files can be continuously synchronised and remain updated.

Help

Helpful information is provided in the help-section of the base Angewandte. For questions that are not answered or any other feedback, suggestions, criticism etc. please get in touch with the base Angewandte support at base-support@uni-ak.ac.at.

Student account

With your login details ("s"+matriculation number) and the password you get access to your student account in the Online-Service for Students.

Via the online service for students you can find the following:

  • payment data for the transfer of the tuition fee/student union fee (they change every semester)
  • study sheet (Studienblatt)
  • study confirmation (Studienbestätigung)
  • documents such as the curriculum analysis (for checking your study progress), individual certificates, reports of recognition,...
  • possibility to active email forwarding
  • possibility to reset your password
  • possibility to edit your email alias
Since important information is distributed by email please make sure to be reachable, also by ensuring the forwarding of emails is kept up-to-date.

WIFI

The following wifi networks are available to be used by Angewandte students:

uni-ak
  • log in with "s[matriculation number]"
  • available at all Angewandte facilities
eduroam
  • log in with "s[matriculation number]@student.uni-ak.ac.at"
  • available in many other universities within Austria as well as abroad

Webmail

Your personal email account is available at webmail.uni-ak.ac.at.
