The goal of the Fashion Department at Angewandte is the individual growth
and development of each student’s artistic and creative potential. The fashion education at Angewandte takes into account
contemporary and future social, cultural and economic conditions that shape the constantly changing fashion industry.
The Central Artistic Subject focuses on generating ideas, developing concepts and creating and presenting individual, innovative
and visionary women’s and/or men’s wear collections at the highest artisanal and technical level. The curriculum further comprises
courses in pattern making, draping, sewing, knitting and dressmaking techniques and contains courses in fashion drawing, technical
drawing for fashion, fashion communication and fashion business. Within a range of lectures, seminars and courses, students
