Evaluation of Teaching Courses
The following course evaluation procedures are available to teaching staff and are selected by them for gathering student
feedback each time they carry out an evaluation:
The standardised student feedback is based on a questionnaire which serves to capture the assessment of specific characteristics of the course. Teaching staff
may modify the questionnaire and also supplement it with qualitative questions.
The qualitative student feedback enables the gathering of student feedback in writing or within a discussion along several questions defined by the lecturer.
The peer feedback 'Critical Friends' enables feedback from other teaching staff members at the Angewandte who, based on a relationship of trust, are invited to observe and comment on the teaching course.
All three methods can also be used for the evaluation of a course that is carried out jointly by several lecturers. For further
information on each procedure, please see the respective gudiances available in the download box.
Lecturers choose and document the evaluations of their individual courses by logging onto service.uni-ak.ac.at .
To get to know the different evaluation procedures, lecturers as well as heads of institutes or departments will find the workshop ‘TeachingEvaluation – Which Procedure suits
my Questions?’ in the Staff Development programme.
