Postgraduate Programme

MAS (Art and Economy) Master of Advanced Studies
120 ECTS
4 Semesters
The Art & Economy postgraduate programme consists of four semesters and a total number of hours amounting to 120 ECTS points. It is completed with a final assignment involving the positive assessment of a “reflexive project” and a specialist, oral examination. Subject to an appropriate decree from the federal minister, graduates from this programme receive the academic title of  "Master of Advanced Studies - MAS (art & economy).”

The aim of the Art & Economy programme at the University of Applied Arts Vienna is to put graduates in a position whereby they are capable of meeting the demands made on creative people by business life in differing corporate areas, or successfully undertaking the step into self-employment. In the medium-term, the course should lead to a recognised, professional profile among companies and other organisations with graduates being seen as “interface managers” between creativity/aesthetics and business requirements.
