Diversity, Equality of Opportunity and Inclusion 


Our staff unit Diversity, Equality of Opportunity and Inclusion is dedicated to the topic of equality. In close cooperation with other organisational units the plan for the advancement of women and equality is implemented here.
 
 Our Tasks

  • Implementation of Gender Mainstreaming at the University of Applied Arts Vienna (Angewandte) 
  • Supervision and monitoring of the implementation of the university’s plan for the advancement of women and equality as part of the statutes
  • Concept and implementation of projects and measures in the field of gender mainstreaming, equality and anti-discrimination in cooperation with the university’s organisational units in charge
  • Realisation of the Angewandte Mentoringprogramme
  • Gender Monitoring: analysis and reporting of gender ratio at the Angewandte, e.g. annual reports according to the plan for the advancement of women
  • Awareness raising
  • Organisation of the lecture series "Kunst - Forschung - Geschlecht" (Art – Research – Gender) and publication of anthologies 
  • Cooperation with the working group for equal opportunities issues and the ARGE GLUNA
  • National and international cooperation with coordination hubs for equality, advancement of women and gender studies at other universities
  • Networking with service departments and projects internal and external to the university
  • Member of the Genderplattform Austria, deputy spokesperson and part of the control board
