The Peace Room is an interdisciplinary project and an innovative pilot academic programme developed by the Siena Art Institute to investigate the relationship between intercultural dynamics and local experiences, personal connections and international relations. The Peace Room is partitioned in modules, each directed by a separate Lead Artist and teacher:

• Art & Society
• Art & Memory
• Art & Mycorrhiza

The interdisciplinary project will facilitate the development of site-specific and community engagement art practices by art students in dialogue with professional artists, architects, artisans, educational institutions and museums, leading to the creation of a collaborative public event that will constitute the Peace Room.

Der SCHIELE AWARD ist ein Kunstpreis, der seit 2022 alle zwei Jahre vergeben wird und Künstler*innen eine Plattform bietet, ihre Arbeiten einem breiteren Publikum vorzustellen. Am Geburtsort Egon Schieles hat sich der Rotary Club Tulln das Ziel gesetzt, zeitgenössische künstlerische Praxen im Diskurs mit Gegenwartsfragen zu fördern und gleichzeitig seinen sozialen Grundsätzen entsprechend humanitäre Hilfe zu leisten. Seit 2025 wird der Preis gemeinsam mit dem ROTARY CLUB WIEN-ALBERTINA ausgerichtet.

Africa-UniNet promotes excellent research based on mutual knowledge exchange. While the thematic scope of the cooperative research projects is not restricted, they set out to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). At the same time, they enhance the scientific foundation of the involved institutions and reinforce the formation of the network itself by promoting new partnerships between Austrian and African universities and research institutions and by strengthening existing ties.

Registration is now open for Biodesign Challenge 2026, an international education program for high school and college students that introduces the intersection of biotechnology, art, and design and connects them to a global network of leaders in academia, industry, and entrepreneurship who are defining the field of biodesign

The Eurasia-Pacific Uninet (EPU) was established in 2000 with the aim of creating an educational network for Austrian universities, universities of applied sciences, and other educational institutions in Central Asia, East Asia, and the Pacific region. 

In volatile times it becomes clear that no centre is fixed or permanent. When things fall apart, both crisis and imagination arise. We find ourselves on edge. It is arts schools and socio-cultural institutions who maintain open spaces for multi-dimensional and divergent thinking – trying to convene shared community spaces.

On the initiative of the Autism Network Austria, all students of the University of Applied Arts Vienna are invited to submit artistic or research-based works that engage with the topic of autism. The aim of the competition is to increase the visibility of autism in various social and design contexts.

iF Design Student Award 2026 is one of the world's premier design awards for students, receiving more than 7,000 entries annually from all over the world. iF Design, together with its Sponsors offers a platform for innovative student concepts. Winners gain global recognition and a portion of the 50,000 EUR prize money.

oead - Österreichs Agentur für Bildung und Internationalisierung - fördert in enger Zusammenarbeit und aus Mitteln des Bundeskanzleramts Studienplätze am College of Europe in Brügge, Natolin und Tirana.

The purpose of the Program is to deal with the consequences of the Russian aggression in Ukraine devoted to the promotion of democracy in all possible ways with a special focus on research topics relating to Austrian history, politics and culture, Habsburg Imperial history, politics and culture, Austrian-Ukrainian and Austrian-Russian relations, Austrian-American transatlantic relations.

Stromkilometer is both a prize and a challenge that is awarded to students, alumni and also employees of the University of Applied Arts Vienna.
