Event Management

Profile of the Event Management Unit

The Angewandte places great emphasis on the effectualness and perception of its artistic, scientific and cultural-political activities. Exhibitions, round table discussions on socially relevant topics, symposia and other events enhance the University’s profile as a place where not only research and teaching take place, but also results are made available to an interested audience. The highlight of these numerous events is the annual „Angewandte Festival“.

The new Event Management Unit set up in 2019 acts as the facilitator for a wide variety of national and international event formats. The Unit plans, carries out and competently supports all the necessary partners.

The interior design of the function rooms at the University display an impressive spectrum of variation. Traditional and modern architecture come together in a grand symbiosis. Cutting edge technology, high levels of creativity and last but not least a team of professionals are guarantors for successful events. The Auditorium offers an up-to-date infrastructure for sound, lighting, video, hybrid, and streaming technology, including a professional support.

The main building at Oskar-Kokoschka-Platz traditionally provides the University of Applied Arts with excellent options to carry out a variety of public presentation and interaction formats. The addition of the building at Vordere Zollamtstraße 7 with its auditorium reminiscent of a theater and a campus-like atrium closes the gap that previously existed in respect of major events. These newly created spaces enabled the Angewandte to once again significantly expand its publicly effective events.

The Event Management Unit offers support to all employees of the Angewandte as well as to all external partners in planning and carrying out those events that take place on the premises of the University.

The event rooms of the Angewandte can also be rented, via the Event Management Unit, by cooperation partners or external persons, institutions and companies.
