COVID-19: University operations from October 1, 2022

Behavior in the event of illness or contact with a COVID-19 case Do not come to the Angewandte in case of symptoms of illness and clarify them by PCR test in any case. The same applies to anyone who has had contact with a person suffering from COVID without taking protective measures. If you are infected with COVID, you are not allowed to enter the university - this also applies to people who are infected without symptoms and people with a mild course of the disease! Access to the university is only permitted again with a free test from day 5 at the earliest and exclusively by means of a PCR test (negative or CT value ≥ 30). If a person in the same household should have contracted COVID and physical isolation is not possible, you are also not allowed to enter the university for 5 days. In this case, too, a negative PCR test from day 5 is a prerequisite for access to the Angewandte. The following applies to employees: Inform your head of department and arrange home office if possible. The COVID staff unit (covid@uni-ak.ac.at) and HR department (personalabteilung@uni-ak.ac.at) must be provided with the PCR test result of the ill household member. Reporting obligation for employees and students COVID illnesses must be reported immediately to the COVID staff unit (covid@uni-ak.ac.at, +43 664 883 45 033). Employees must also send a doctor's certificate to the HR Department (personalabteilung@uni-ak.ac.at) from the 1st day of sick leave. FFP2 masks and testing We recommend that you wear an FFP2 mask where the situation requires it or where several people are close together. Make sure you comply with the known hygiene measures and continue to take advantage of the free PCR and antigen test offers.
Following the recommendations of the National Vaccination Committee, we would also like to call for COVID-19 (booster) vaccination and encourage you to take advantage of the numerous vaccination offers.
