On the occasion of the International
Mountain Day 2026, the Mountain Short Film Contest/Festival Milano CORTALP "Alpine Short Films," now in its fifth edition,
curated by Aldo Faleri (curator and artistic director) with Francesco Zurlo, professors and Dean of the School of Design of
Politecnico di Mialno, together with the Italian Alpine Club (CAI), will be held on December 11 in Milan. Organized by the
ALPI+MILANO aps Association, the festival organizer, a themed film competition titled "Manlio Armellini" International Prize
has been announced.
Who can applyAll students, from University of France, Austria,
Switzerland, Croatia and Slovenia, are invited to create videos on Mountain themes and their relationship with Design, Architecture,
Graphics, and Communication, in every aspect (environment, nature, ecology, energy, culture, tradition, lifestyle, food, sports,
safety, tourism, and economy), with particular attention to innovative and sustainable proposals in the above areas.
The
competition calls for original works, real or fictional, that must "tell" the story of the mountain, which finds in its history,
culture, and traditions the bridges toward the future for its survival and for new generations.
