Co-registration
Degree programme students at Austrian universities can attend additional lectures at the Angewandte and have them recognised according to the regulations of their primary university.
However, lectures in artistic subjects are generally excluded.
Co-registration is only possible after continuation of your main degree at your primary university. Admission as a co-registered
student is only valid for one semester and must be renewed each subsequent semester. Co-registration is free of charge.
For students of Fachhochschulen, Pädagogischen Hochschulen or Privatuniversitäten co-registration is not possible.
Non-degree programme
In the framework of a non-degree programme it is possible to attend individual courses and take exams. However, lectures in artistic subjects are generally excluded. It is not possible to receive an academic degree from attending
a non-degree programme. Information about tuition fees for non-degree students can be found under Financial Issues. Reimbursement of already transferred tuition fees is not possible.
As part of a cooperation with the MUK students of both universities are allowed to attend courses of the respective other university given that spaces are available.
They are generally exempt from tuition fees.
As part of a cooperation agreement with the Central European University Vienna (CEU) students of the CEU have the possibility to participate in an exchange semester. They will be registered as non-degree students at the Angewandte and can attend a maximum of two courses across all BA, MA, and diploma
programmes. Students of the CEU are exempt from tuition fees. Please note that courses regarding artistic practice are only
open to regular Angewandte students. Also, be aware that the academic year at the Angewandte is subdivided into a summer semester (March-September) and a winter semester (October-February), a registration
period for each. For information on registration see https://www.dieangewandte.at/ceu_en.
