Fashion design training with top professors
The fashion class at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna is the only one offering a university-level diploma in the field
of fashion design. The university is one of the leading European centers for training in contemporary fashion worldwide.
Fred-Adlmüller-Stipendium, Rondo Vöslauer Fashion Award & Indie Magazine Award
Publication of the collection in Der Standard/Rondo
Within the framework of the Show Angewandte 16 the Fred-Adlmüller-Stipendium and the Indie Magazine Award will be presented.
The Fred-Adlmüller-Stipendium is endowed with 2700,- euros and the Rondo Vöslauer Fashion Award 3.000,- euros.
The Indie Magazine Award also contains the publishing of the winning-collection.

Since the early 1980s the chair of the fashion class has been filled by international fashion stars in high demand such as Karl Lagerfeld, Jil Sander, Vivienne Westwood, Helmut Lang, Raf Simons, Viktor & Rolf , Bernhard Willhelm or - like the present head of the class - Hussein Chalayan. Graduates of the fashion class have gone on to create their own labels such as Bradaric Ohmae, Bless, GON, Petar Petrov, Ute Ploier oder Wendy&Jim, have assumed top-level positions in the Austrian and international fashion sector or with renowned fashion companies such as Balenciaga, Jil Sander, Lanvin, Prada, Maison Martin Margiela, Louis Vuitton to name only a few.
