Thinking Through Weibel displays key works from the Peter Weibel Archive and brings them into dynamic dialogue with works by international contemporary artists. A joint exhibition by the Weibel Institute for Digital Cultures with Art Collection and Archive and the AIL (Angewandte Interdisciplinary Lab). Opening on 5 November.

Algorithmic Vertigo is an exhibition that operates as an assumption. The shown pieces are rooted in current artistic research within experiment-driven learning environments at the department. They are produced or adapted for the occasion and critically reflect on the conditions of the post-digital and its pictorial representations.

With the opening of the exhibition Fernheilung [Distant Healing] on 15 October, the celebrations marking the 45th anniversary of the collection of the Angewandte began. Brigitte Felderer (Vice-Rector for Studies, Teaching and Diversity), Cosima Rainer (Head of Art Collection and Archive), and curator Robert Müller together with Helmut Draxler opened the exhibition, which is dedicated to the artistic scene in Vienna during the decade in which the collection was founded.
