Covid-19: End of the FFP2 mask obligation

13. May 2022
Dear University Members,

In view of the declining infection figures and in line with currently applicable nationwide Covid measures, the general FFP2 mask requirement at Angewandte will end as of Monday, May 16, 2022. This will remove the mandatory wearing of a mask for all rooms as well as traffic routes within the university.

However, we recommend that you continue to exercise caution and wear an FFP2 mask where the situation requires it or where several people are in close proximity. Be sure to ventilate regularly and take advantage of the free PCR and antigen testing services.

If you have symptoms of illness, do not come to the Angewandte and clarify them in any case by PCR test. The same applies to anyone who has had contact with a person infected with Covid without protective measures. In addition to complying with regulatory requirements, covid illnesses must still be reported immediately to the Covid staff unit (covid@uni-ak.ac.at).

We are pleased to be able to facilitate university operations without restrictions again with the relaxations and wish you a continued successful summer semester!
