After three semesters of different face-to-face,
distance and hybrid teaching, not least the Corona vaccination in combination with the application of the 3G rule is the central
key to be able to open the university operation on site again in all areas.
If you belong to the group of unvaccinated
persons for whom vaccination is possible, we recommend that you make use of one of the numerous vaccination offers of the
city of Vienna or the federal states before the semester begins. We are convinced that only a high vaccination coverage rate
will allow an unrestricted university operation in the long run. For more information on the vaccination offers, please refer
to the

appeal.
The following rules will apply to university operations as of Oct. 1, 2021:(You can read the current operating mode overview in detail
here)
Opening hoursThe opening hours in the winter semester 2021/22 remain unchanged:
Monday-Friday incl. Sat/Sun/Holidays from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
3G rule and access to the university
buildingsAccess to the university buildings is
only possible for university members
as well as for external persons
in compliance with the 3G rule (tested, recovered, vaccinated), a corresponding proof
as well as a photo ID must be carried at all times (see below). As before, the 3G control takes place at the main
entrances at the main location at Oskar-Kokoschka-Platz and in the Vordere Zollamtsstraße, in the Exposituren the control
continues to take place according to the departmental internal concepts. In addition, there are random checks by the "Health
Checkers" in all university buildings.
Documentation of attendance in studios is still required.
This must be kept for a minimum of 14 days and provided to the Covid Staff Office for Contact Tracing in the event of a Covid
illness.
One of the following verifications is required for entry: For those tested:• Negative PCR test confirmation e.g. "Alles gurgelt" (valid
for 48hrs),
• Negative antigen test confirmation from an authorized body e.g. from pharmacy, Vienna
Test Streets etc. (24h valid)
Note: In accordance with the federal regulations as well as the new regulations
regarding the period of validity of Corona tests and the medical certificate of Covid disease in Vienna,
only certificates
from authorized bodies will be accepted for access to university buildings from 1.10.2021 onwards. Self-tests will
not be recognized!
For recovered persons:• Segregation certificate
(valid for 6 months),
• Medical certificate of covid disease (valid for 6 months)
For
vaccinated:A complete COVID-19 vaccination must be proven.
Persons are
considered to be
fully vaccinated• In the case of two-part vaccination from the second vaccination (valid
for 360 days)
• in the case of vaccination with Johnson & Johnson vaccine, from the 22nd day after
vaccination (valid for 270 days)
• in the case of convalescents, from the date of vaccination (valid
for 360 days)
Approved certificates:• EU Digital COVID Certificate
• Yellow vaccination certificate
• Proof of vaccination by your doctor or

Electronic vaccination certificate at

test kits "Alles gurgelt" for free collection and test offers of the city of Vienna The PCR test
is currently the most precise corona test method, especially in the detection of the delta variant. Therefore, for your own
and the general safety at the university, we recommend that you take advantage of the PCR test offer "Alles gurgelt". Tests
are available after prior registration in all Vienna REWE stores (Bipa, Billa, etc.):
https://allesgurgelt.at/As of now, "Alles gurgelt" test kits are also available for free collection at the porter's lodges at the main locations
Oskar-Kokoschka-Platz and in Vorderen-Zollamtsstraße. The tests will continue to be handed out at REWE stores in Vienna.

FFP2 mask
obligation and general hygiene measuresWearing an
FFP2 mask remains
mandatory
in all circulation areas. In studio and centrally bookable seminar rooms, as well as in offices and other rooms within
a department, the
FFP2 mask can be removed (only) at the seat - regardless of other people present in the
room - but must be worn again when getting up and leaving.
In addition to wearing an FFP2 mask, please continue
to observe the
generally known hygiene regulations (thorough hand hygiene, cough etiquette, regular ventilation
as well as surface disinfection).
Teaching, examinations and events•
Artistic
and scientific teaching will again take place in presence.
Registration via base before attending a course is
required in any case.
•
Written examinations as well as final examinations by the board
of examiners take place in attendance mode. Analogous to the regulations for courses, the public is admitted to final
examinations after registration by name and under the responsibility of the respective department.
•
Oral examinations can be held in presence or distance mode by arrangement.
•
Events are possible after approval by the event management (
veranstaltungen@uni-ak.ac.at)
and in compliance with the
legal
measures for events (including FFP2 obligation at the place, pre-registration and control on site, no catering/buffet),
whereby the responsibility for the safe organization lies with the respective department or with the organizer.

In case of covid infection or suspicion of covid we request that you immediately contact the Covid
Staff Office (
covid@uni-ak.ac.at, +43 664 88345033), who will inform you about the
further course of action and, if necessary, initiate Contact Tracing steps within the Applied.
As usual, we will
closely monitor the situation and the infection situation at the University as well as the recommendations and regulations
of the Federal Ministries and the City of Vienna and make adaptations where and when it becomes necessary. We will of course
keep you informed of any changes.
