Through
abstraction, exaltation and alienation, the artist Claudia Larcher stages living spaces that explore architecture of the 20th
and 21st centuries.
In the Schauraum, two exhibits get in contact with each other. One of them
is the video installation Habitat (Silver Towers), which can be viewed as documentationof a stay abroad in a New York City
apartment complex, and the other is the object „Floppy“. This exposes a façade structure, whereby fabric serves as the image
carrier and assembly material. The application of fabric evokes the principle ofa curtain wall – a 20th century construction
type, the success of which Mies van der Rohe, among others, was greatly involved in furthering.
