From 11 to 14 September, the University of Applied Arts Vienna presented works from the TransArts
department at Vienna Contemporary 2025 under the title You dissolve / It’s just another way you exist. Katharina Birkmann,
Maja Bojanić and Mariia Mihdieieva, three graduates from last summer semester, are showing works that thematically explore
the unstable space between presence and absence, memory and erasure, materiality and transformation.
In
their works, they urge us to look closely at what is dissolving but not ending, and to recognise how traces of it continue
to exist in language, space and form: dissolution is not disappearance, but displacement, dispersion, survival in another
form.
