World Heritage Day 2025

Explore the Postsparkassa with conservators

The Postsparkasse (Post Savings Bank) on the Ringstrasse boulevard is considered to be one of the most important buildings of the Vienna Modernism period. Architect Otto Wagner left his mark on the Austrian capital like no other and built his most modern and significant structure in the form of the Postsparkasse. The Institute of Conservation in cooperation with the Angewandte Interdisciplinary Lab will be participating in the UNESCO World Heritage Day 2025 with two special guided tours.
The guided tours are dedicated to the topics of material and materiality. Postsparkasse is part of the World Heritage Site Historic Centre of Vienna.
