with ELIA: Alexander Damianisch newly elected to the Representative Board of ELIA

On November 23, 2020, Alexander Damianisch, Head of the Support Art and Research department
at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, was elected to the Representative Board of ELIA (European League of Institutes of
the Arts) at the Biennial Conference in Milan.
ELIA is a globally active network
of European art colleges and art universities that promotes common concerns, dynamic exchange between institutions and the
further development of their departments. It represents over 280 members from 54 countries. ELIA's activities include organizing
events, forming working groups, participating in research projects and issuing statements on current issues.
The
University of Applied Arts Vienna is particularly involved in the field of international cooperation and the development of
research projects in ELIA. University members from the fields of art and science are regularly active and successful in the
context of ELIA.
The election of Alexander Damianisch is a prominent recognition of the lasting commitment of the
University of Applied Arts Vienna to the international community of art colleges.
