Niklas's letter of motivation
Full of anticipation and commitment, I am looking forward to my semester abroad in Vienna. I would like to share my experiences there with many people and report on my experiences. Therefore, I would like to apply for the Care Concept Welcome to Austria Scholarship and report about my future everyday life in Vienna. Growing up in a large family in the countryside, caring togetherness was always at the center of my life. I have always enjoyed taking on responsible tasks, lovingly taking care of my three younger siblings and have kept the joy of helping and supporting my fellow human beings wherever I can! Early on, I volunteered in my sailing club, led the youth training group, taught many children how to sail and conveyed the joy of movement. I have always pursued my great desire to become a product designer with diligence and commitment and independently ventured my way out into the world. Even my chronic illness, a hormone deficiency, did not intimidate me and, in retrospect, I have grown and become stronger. Now I am a little proud and above all incredibly grateful that after the challenging application procedure I have been accepted at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and that I can be part of the community there in the winter semester. In a city so vibrant with art and culture, I would like to give you all the opportunity to share in my exciting experiences. I love taking pictures and enjoy sharing images on social media, writing about my experiences in detail to make exciting contacts and open up new opportunities. My goal in my socially engaged projects is to add value to our society and use our resources responsibly - to make the world a little better if possible. For some, the everyday life of a student at an art academy probably hides a little secret, this shall be revealed with my experience reports! I am sure that the exchange will allow me to gain exciting insights and to experience cultural diversity in an international context. I would be incredibly grateful for a grant from the Care Concept Welcome to Austria scholarship and would like to give a part back in the form of exciting insights - to encourage all readers and viewers to also dare strengthening and experiential experiences themselves.
