The Krupa Art Foundation
(KAF) announces the Open Call for the second edition of the international KAF Young Prize 2026, an art competition dedicated
to supporting emerging artists at an early stage of their careers. The call is open internationally and addresses recent artistic
developments from the past two years. Artists can apply in the categories of painting, digital art, and sculpture and installations.
Submissions are accepted online until 31 March 2026, with the final exhibition planned for autumn 2026 in Wrocław.
About the Open Call
The KAF Young Prize 2026 is an
international competition initiated and organised by the Krupa Art Foundation, based in Wrocław, Poland. The prize was established
to increase the visibility of young artists in Poland and across Europe, support experimental artistic practices, and challenge
traditional competitive models in the arts. Following a highly successful first edition with more than 1,600 submissions,
the second edition expands its scope to include additional media. Rather than selecting a single winner, the competition awards
three equal prizes, emphasizing dialogue, professional development, and long-term support for emerging artists.
Who
can apply
The Open Call is addressed to young artists at an early stage of their professional careers from Poland
and abroad. Applicants may submit works created within the last two years and apply in one of the three categories: painting,
digital art, or sculpture and installations. The competition is international and open to artists working in contemporary
artistic practices within these media.
Submission
Applications must be submitted via the
online application form available on the KAF Young Prize website (form).
The submission period runs until 31 March 2026 at 11:00 p.m.Three artists will receive equal financial prizes of EUR 12,000
gross each, while all remaining finalists will receive an exhibition fee of EUR 400 gross and participate in the final exhibition
in Wrocław in autumn 2026.
