In an era where disconnection from our own senses, and from those who perceive the
world differently, is increasingly common, how can we re-engage with perception? By slowing down, paying attention, and creating
space for diverse sensory experiences, we open new pathways for knowledge creation and deeper connections with the world.
Artistic research offers a unique platform to explore this diversity, pose critical questions, and develop methods that lead
to new insights and perspectives.
Art, design, and architecture remind us that perception is never uniform; it
is shaped by context, diversity, and interaction.
The Iceland University of the Arts invites proposals that engage
with the conference theme from all areas of art, design, architecture, and related disciplines. Contributions may include
research presentations, artistic interventions, or theoretical explorations that address the role of perception in creative
practice and knowledge production.
