In a time where fashion is often
expected to follow clear categories, fixed images, and recognizable directions, difference becomes an important starting point.
This
presentation brings together four designers from the Modeklasse, each with a distinct way of working and thinking through
fashion. Their practices are shaped by different materials, references, bodies, emotions, functions, memories, and forms of
construction.
The works do not belong to one shared aesthetic. Instead, they show how fashion can
hold many positions at once. It can be personal and practical, fragile and structured, intimate and performative, emotional
and precise. It can speak through surface, silhouette, gesture, object, or atmosphere.
What connects
these projects is not similarity, but the possibility of seeing fashion as a field of many languages. Each work follows its
own logic, while becoming part of a larger conversation about how clothing can carry identity, value, movement, memory, and
change.
For Blickfang at MAK, Alisa Tegin, Benedikt Götz, Jara Dilara Noori, and Alara Koçman present
four individual positions from the Modeklasse — different approaches, different visual worlds, and different ways of asking
what fashion can be today.
