A project by
the Vienna Festival in collaboration with students, graduates and lecturers of Transmedia Arts Class.
Let
us sail into an ocean of colour, bodies and sound. Students and lecturers of the Transmedia Art Class are devising a
cosmology of myths for the Republic of Gods, so the floating House of the Republic invites its visitors to travel through
mists and in-between worlds. Sensual experience becomes a method of insight and awareness as ecstatic rituals and imagery
open the gates between dream and reality, hope and devastation.
The Transmedia Art class supports experimental
approaches and gathers inspiration from curiosity for the unknown. On Vienna’s waters, on this boat dispatched by the gods,
the young artists are asking all visitors to dive into a fleeting cosmos: a performative exploration, a fluid, queer transformation
of Viennese archetypes such as the legendary Donauweibchen figure becoming a wise goddess. Every Wednesday night, the students
design a one-off special edition of Transmythical with installations, performances and music!
