Since
2022, composting has been the focus of collaborative learning in the Klasse für alle. Composting means engaging in ecological
cycles on a daily basis – developing a care for what nourishes us – and recognizing the relationships between decay, transformation,
and change.
Composting is a physical practice that connects us to the world, requiring attention and
solemn presence. Cultivating compost means cultivating relationships in learning from and learning with people, plants, earth,
the non-human world. Composting strategies are for everyone, but so are artistic practices such as (deep) listening, moving,
writing, fermenting, braiding nettles, and much more.
In this compost session we are crafting space
to reflect upon building community and continuity, to touch soil and memory, and to connect with the circularity of matter
and seasons.
