Conny Frischauf in Conversation

Perspectives of Professional Practice Lecture Series

The Perspectives of Professional Practice Lecture Series invites Conny Frischauf, a sound and visual artist based in Vienna, to talk about her experience as an alumna of the Angewandte (Department TransArts - Transdisciplinary Arts). An honest discussion about self-employment and navigating the maze of life after university.
Conny Frischauf's work spans various media, including audio-production, performance, installation, publication, and sculpture. Experimentally exploring exclusionary politics of language and narration Conny is interested in decentralized forms of relationship, encounter, and resistance. They regularly perform, sound, conduct workshops and lectures, repair and build audio equipment, score films and performances, host, listen, write and walk.Connys discography includes Kenne Keine Töne (LP, 2024), Die Drift (LP, 2021), Affekt & Tradition (EP, 2019), Effekt & Emotion (EP, 2018) as well as contributions to various compilations. Since 2024, they have been running Sedimente, a platform that slowly inter-layers through text, sound, space, and more.
