Transarts - Annja Krautgasser

An event organised by TransArts - Transdisciplinary Art

Annja Krautgasser's filmic-performative works are firmly anchored in the context of contemporary art and are also spatially located accordingly. In this sense, the works are always also part of a certain discourse, a reception behaviour, a production process.

They are systems that make Krautgasser's works coherent and comprehensible in retrospective and enable
critical reflection outside their references. The references to certain (film) scenarios serve as initial inspiration, reinterpretation and recollection at the same time. (Gerald Straub) Closely connected to Krautgasser's artistic
practice is her interest in cultural-political agendas (former chairperson of the board of the Secession, Tyrolean Artists' Association, KlappeAuf). She is also a cooperation partner of abo Verlag, graphic designer and exhibition designer.
