Reopening: pictorial space

In photo sequences, installations, drawings, sculptures, projections and media hybrides, Liddy Scheffknecht examines the relationship between temporality, perception and space.

At Schauraum in the MuseumsQuartier the glass fronts are covered by a large-scale drawing of an exhibition room. Thus, the exhibition shifts from the actual display area to a pictorial space. The imaginary exhibits contained therein are completed by a video projection and a moving element: a figurative shadow, the source of which seems to be located in the showroom. Still and moving images, drawings and film blend into a medial hybrid.
