The 2026
Angewandte Animation Award goes to Janka Dósas’s ‘Dry Food’

Janka Dósa, a graduate
of the Department of Painting and Animated Film, was presented with the Angewandte Animation Award on 29 April as part of
the ‘Under the Radar 2026’ festival.
The jury awards Dry Food for its „engaging
storyline, striking psychedelic backgrounds, and spare yet effective animation. We appreciated its unsettling humour, suspenseful
rhythm, inventive use of sound and silence, and its unexpected ending.
The visual language, with its bold patterns
and colours, creates a distinctive and memorable atmosphere.“
Janka Dósa completed her degree at the University
of Applied Arts in June 2025 with the award-winning animated film Dry Food.
