Margit Applegate received the 2025 Forschungspreis für Architektur der Bundeskammer der Ziviltechniker*innen

Margit Applegate was awarded the prize for her master’s thesis Reciprocal Refuges.

Supervised by Sam Chermayeff, Applegate successfully completed her studies at the Institute of Architecture (IoA) of the University of Applied Arts Vienna in January 2025 with this thesis.

The award ceremony took place on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the Architekturzentrum Wien (AZW).
