Univ. Prof Alison J. Clarke  MA (RCA) PhD. dr.littD.h.c. (Chair, Design History & Theory, Director, Papanek Foundation) has been awarded an FWF (Austrian Science Fund) Profi Grant as Principal Investigator of a new international research project Design Anthropology: Cold War Industrial Design & Development (2024-2027). The research explores the application of design and social science in strategies that harnessed the resources of newly decolonised nations of the Global South, bringing together critical historial analysis, anthropological discourse and contemporary design practice within design anthropology.
