4 UNIVERSITIES 4 KONAVLE – Follow-Up!

Konavle Heritage Museum in Čilipi, Croatia 16.-20. September 2019 After the big
success of last year’s event “4 Universities 4 Konavle” the Institute for Conservation of the University of Applied Arts Vienna
together with its international cooperation partners from the University of Dubrovnik, the University of Technology, Arts,
Sciences Cologne and the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in Budapest plans a follow-up of the collection care project in
Konavle Heritage Museum.
During the last campaign several measures to improve the storage
and exhibition conditions were implemented. The follow-up will focus on different issues like the treatment of traditional
needlework from the Cavtat Association of Embroiderers Jelka Miš and the outstanding folk costumes from Čilipi. The Institute
wants to preserve cultural heritage of the southern part of Croatia through hands-on activities and to strengthen networking
of the different universities.
