The University of Applied Arts Vienna is looking for a Studio Coordinator (Administrative Support, m/f/d, 30 hours per week, permanent position) from 1 April 2026 for the department of Design Investigations.

 

The department of Design Investigations is a forward-thinking design program at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, equipping 21st-century designers with the tools to address urgent global challenges like climate change and the future of artificial intelligence. Our students have exhibited internationally, won awards, and graduated with exceptional portfolios.

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Studio Coordinator to support our department's dynamic operations. This role is ideal for someone with exceptional administrative and communication skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

•           Coordinating the academic year, including entrance exams, exhibitions, workshops, lectures, diploma juries, and hiring of Senior Artists

•           Managing communications and schedules, including external and internal correspondence

•           Overseeing budgets, digital archives, and student records

•           Supporting department events, public programs, and logistical needs

•           Assisting staff with PR activities and equipment management

 

Requirements:

•           High school diploma (or equivalent education) and working experience in the university field

•           Strong organisational and time management skills

•           Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently

•           Familiarity with administrative processes

•           Excellent written and spoken German and English, with impeccable spelling, knowledge of other languages is beneficiary

The monthly minimum wage for the position is currently € 2,069.40 gross (14 times a year, based on 30 hours per week) and can be increased by considering job-specific previous experience in accordance with the collective agreement for universities (IIIa, salary scheme for general university staff).
