This year’s Angewandte booth presents works by TransArts students of the University of Applied
Arts Vienna.
The works were selected by curator Victoria Dejaco. The TransArts department
aims to support students in their individual interests under crossand interdisciplinary perspectives to enable them to realise
their full artistic, technical and theoretical potential.
The works on display create an aesthetically coherent
interplay while at the same time revealing the artists’ different medial and contextual approaches: from sound and video installations
(Roberta Lazo Valenzuela) to furniture design (Jürgen Mürzer) and minimal art (Luka Savice), from ceramics (Chin Tsao) and
performative approaches (Lola Pfeiffer) to different sculptural practices (Luize Nezberte, Sophia Latysheva) or the confrontation
with questions of physics (Marlene Lahmer).
In 2020, the TransArts class celebrates its 10th anniversary. More about
