Peter Fritzenwallner (b. 1983 in Mittersill/Salzburg) lives and works in Vienna since
2002. From 2003 to 2009, he studied painting at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. He has received awards and grants,
including the MAK-Schindler Scholarship in 2011, the h13 Prize for Performance in 2013, and the City of Vienna Award at the
Austrian Graphic Arts Competition in 2025.
Fritzenwallner has realized numerous exhibitions both in Austria and
abroad, including DESTINATION VIENNA / LIVES AND WORKS IN VIENNA, Kunsthalle Wien (2015); SO WILD FREEDOM HAS NEVER BEEN,
performance: FOR CHRISTINE LAVANT, Kunstraum Lakeside, Klagenfurt (2015); THROUGH THE ROUGH TO THE STARS, artistic-curatorial
project, Galerie 5020, Salzburg (2020); FREE SWINGER. HOW TO EXPLAIN DEAD LOANS TO DEUTSCHE BANK, performance and installation
in cooperation with Wolfgang Obermair, Art in Public Space Styria, Graz (2020); TAKING MY THOUGHTS FOR A WALK, Dortmunder
Kunstverein / Urbane Künste Ruhr (2021); ELEMENTARY EVENTS, performance, commissioned by BIGart and the University of Natural
Resources and Life Sciences Vienna (2022); ENTROPIE SUPPLEMENT SUFFERFEST, kunstraum pro arte, Hallein (2025).
