The KKP
Dirty Pink series on intersectional art pedagogies address questions of collectivity in the arts and education, which empower
intersectional and post-migrant positions. Art education becomes world-making, when it makes space for relationality, unlearning,
and the condition of unknowing. Art education enables space for conflicting, meshing and fluid identities, and for the contamination
of the dominant language(s).

SynopsisThe growing struggle for Palestinian self-determination between 1960 and 1980 was supported by radical left-wing movements
worldwide, also in Japan. This is illustrated by a collection of 16mm films by militant filmmakers from various countries,
which were dubbed and screened in Japan. Their Japanese audiences felt oppressed by the US after World War II, and not only
sympathized but also identified with the Palestinians.
Stylistically, the films vary widely. They include interviews
with PLO leaders, documentary impressions of life in refugee camps, experimental films, and instructional films for tourism
purposes. Mohanad Yaqubi has drawn on this material to create a film that might be seen as a conclusion or epilogue. He shows
how two very different peoples can feel connected through images, and also raises questions. Where is the line between support
and propaganda? And to what extent can a local struggle be translated internationally?

Fotografische Archive, Kollektivität und Solidarität
with yasmine eid-sabbaghDate:
17–18.04.2026
Time: 10:00 – 17:00
This workshop combines photography as a medium with questions
of archives, collectivity, and solidarity. Through this process, we want to explore possible approaches to working with our
own photographic (family) archives. Participants will learn and experiment with ways to link individual biographies to collective,
larger histories and contexts. They will browse through their own (family) archives and develop potential narratives that
articulate these connections.

GERMAINE ACOGNY – THE ESSENCE OF DANCE is a feature-length documentary
by director Greta-Marie Becker about the world-famous dancer and choreographer Germaine Acogny.
Born in Benin and raised
in Senegal, Acogny studied in Paris and travelled the world for more than five decades. Her unique dance technique has entered
the international canon of modern dance. Cinema audiences accompany this exceptional talent on stage and are present as she
is honoured with the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the Dance Biennale in Venice in 2021, as well as with the Grand
Prix de l'Académie des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 2023. Acogny’s dynamic present and remembered past are interwoven through documentary
scenes, carefully selected archival material, and dance sequences staged specifically for the film. At 81, she continues to
dance and to encourage new generations of African and international dancers at her unique school, l’École des Sables, in Senegal.
