Modeklasse Pillow Talks is a new conversation series by the Fashion
Department at the University of Applied Arts Vienna that places fashion within its broader cultural, social, and artistic
contexts. In an intimate, moderated setting, invited guests from across the international fashion field reflect on their creative
practice, professional trajectories, and the ideas that shape their work.
Hosted by Monica Titton, each session
unfolds as a relaxed yet incisive exchange - a space for both critical reflection and personal storytelling. From formative
influences and creative doubts to defining moments and future visions, the conversations move fluidly between the big questions
and the small details that make up a life in fashion.
Modeklasse Pillow Talks invites students and the
wider university community to encounter fashion not only as an industry, but as a cultural language embedded in everyday life.
The first edition of
Modeklasse Pillow Talks takes place on January 29
th 2026
at 7 p.m. in the Auditorium (VZA 7) and features curator and cultural strategist Francesca Gavin.
