The EU Horizon STECCI research project, in which the Institute of Conservation
is involved as research partner, is committed to creating sustainable, innovative strategies for protecting Europe’s cultural
heritage.
The project focuses on stećci, tombstones in the Balkans, and ways
to safeguard them from the effects of climate change and related threats. The conference will present preliminary findings
and results of the interdisciplinary research group. Additionally, it will offer scholars from various scientific disciplines,
including conservation, environmental sciences, life sciences, tourism, social sciences, natural sciences, and humanities,
the opportunity to present research related to cultural heritage conservation.
The conference is held in hybrid
format (on-site in Vienna and online).
