Lecture Series Vienna is artist run since its founding in 2010. Skulpturinstitut is a project by the Department Sculpture
and Space.
Matthias Noggler (*1990, Innsbruck) studied painting at the University of Applied
Arts Vienna and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. He lives and works in Berlin and Vienna. The references of Noggler’s artistic
practice range from documentary photography and theories of modern architecture to the contemporary visual world of digital
media. In the sense of a politics of seeing, historically determined connections can be drawn between image and social space,
art and society, which address not only the cultural-historical functions of visual representations, but also their ideological
content.
