Jojo Gronostay: Dead White Men's Clothes and Other Stories
STIR
The Angewandte Diversity Office: Diversity, Equal opportunities and Inclusion and DIRTY PINK WATERS OF COLLECTIVITY
KUNST
UND KOMMUNIKATIVE PRAXIS (KKP) Angewandte are now collaborating on the STIR evening lecture series.
The first lecture will be on Monday 28 October at 18:00 OKP HS1 and we are thrilled to invite Jojo
Gronostay @jojogronostay as our guest lecturer.
Bio
Jojo Gronostay is a German-Ghanaian artist.
His work deals with questions of identity and representation, platforms, recycling and the in-between. The viewer is guided
through an exploration of the political and economic structures and legacies of colonisation in Africa.
As seen
in his recent contribution to mumok exhibition AVANT-GUARD AND LIBERATION, with platforms such as DWMC (Dead white Mens Clothes),
Gronostay disrupts cycles to examine concepts such as economy or value, as well as the exchange of people and goods between
the two continents.
Gronostay's lecture will be followed by a discussion moderated by Iketina Danso, Diversity
Lead in the Angewandte Office for Diversity, Equal Opportunities and Inclusion.
Location
Die
Angewandte, Oska Kokoschkaplatz 2 Ground Floor Horsaal 1 (OKP HS1). You can also join us via Zoom with captions.
