Spectators as speculators – Abortion in Film and Television between Realism and Fiction

Film and television like to depict abortions as a crisis, traumatic event or revenge plot. And many spectators adopt this perspective. But as spectators we are also speculators: How can we use the speculative potential of fiction to imagine different depictions of abortion? And when do our speculations go too far?
