An evening dedicated to the love story between Mother Earth and all Living Systems.
To maximize a soil-building effect, five principles of a systemic approach are important to provide the health of soil:
1) Soil protection through natural means
2) minimizing soil disturbance
3) plant diversity
4) continual living plant/roots
5) livestock integration

This evening is a preliminary study for the project Sensing Living Systems, which is concerned with raising awareness of living systems in order to promote action competencies in the sense of the 17 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).

Corresponding to the above mentioned approach, the performative-discursive and experimental setting of this evening focuses on:
1) strengthening the subject’s ability to resonate through analog means
2) reducing mental distraction
3) multisensory experiences
4) contact: ground/soil and feet
5) expanding everyday perception in order to include systems perception

Sensing Living Systems is a research project by MUELLER-DIVJAK, AIL – Angewandte Interdisciplinary Lab, and BCSSS – Bertalanffy Center for the Studies of Systems Science.

The artist duo MUELLER-DIVJAK (Dr. Jeanette Müller, conceptual artist and political scientist, Dr. Paul Divjak, author, artist and scent composer), reflects and explores with its multimedia interventions, site-specific installations, sculptures, performances, collages, photographs and texts the sensual perception of phenomena of the present and the mutual influence of living systems.

MUELLER-DIVJAK's recent exhibitions include DEMOCRACY OF THE SENSES: Green Promise & Austrian Democracy Lab_Fragrance Edition, Künstlerhaus Wien, Dez. 2022, DIFFUSING TERPENES: The Effects of Forest Bathing, KMH, Liechtenstein 2022, FUTURE LOTTERY, VKZ, Switzerland 2021-22, TANZ DEN KAPITALISMUS, Bregenzer Kultursommer 2020, 77.000 GENERATIONS – Berta says: We need to find a new conception of man, Künstlerhaus Bregenz 2020, FUTURE MEMORIES, KMH, Liechtenstein 2018, HOKY POKY I & II, Art Brut Gallery, Gugging 2017, 2018, THE TRANSITION SHOW, Princess Sirinthorn Art Gallery, Silpakorn University, Bangkok 2016, FUTURE PRESENTS LAB, AIL, Vienna, 2016.
