political in the everyday!

The
Viennese artist duo Sonja Stummerer and Martin Hablesreiter (honey & bunny) have been dealing with seemingly everyday
objects and actions for years. For instance, cleaning or eating. Every bite is a political act and an expression of culture.
What and how one eats or with what and how one cleans shows who one is, which cultural backgrounds one has and how one takes
a stand on hierarchical, social or ecological issues, for example.
They approach these topics
with a variety of artistic research methods like performances, videos and photography. honey & bunny understand self-illustrated
and written books as a way to reach a broad public. During the Lockdowns Sonja Stummerer and Martin Hablesreiter published
three books "food design Small" (edition Angewandte), "Putzen - eine Kulturtechnik" (Böhlau Verlag, Vienna) and "wie wir essen
| Tischkultur - Geschichte, Design, Klima" (Böhlau Verlag, Vienna). These works were created in close collaboration with scholars
from various disciplines and the photographers Ulrike Köb and Daisuke Akita.
