https://ww2.unipark.de/uc/asf/c3b9/ The Action for Sustainable Future (ASF) hub is a collaboration between the University of Applied Arts Vienna
and the Open Innovation in Science (OIS) Center at Ludwig Boltzmann Gesellschaft (LBG). The ASF hub facilitates collaboration
between society, science and art, creating solutions with high societal relevance and impact to advance the sustainable transformation
of society.
The six key ASF hub projects sit at the intersection of society, science and art
and address connections between social and ecological sustainability from multiple perspectives, such as the social inclusion
of marginalized groups, engaging with children’s and human rights, the problem of increased soil sealing, and possibilities
of sustainable resource management. All projects are participatory and are supported by recognized cooperation partners, such
as Amnesty International Austria, the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna, the Technical University of
Vienna and Democratic Society.
The projects also explore new approaches to participatory research: to ensure
the quality of the research-led projects initiated by social actors, the ASF hub support program provides artistic or scientific
expert advice when and if required. This way, researchers and artists are involved in the implementation of projects by engaged
citizens.
Key projects of the ASF hub will be introduced in the form of a World Café. This format allows
visitors and participants to get to know the projects and exchange ideas.
