Florian Bettel will speak on December 9 about the current research information system “Portfolio &
Showroom” (
portfolio-showroom.ac.at) developed by the Angewandte – an alternative
and open source software by and for art universities. With the development of the software, the current research project is
also examining aspects of digitisation and quantification of art and science, in particular the measurement of research results
on the basis of metrics (including impact factor).
The lecture is
part of the conference “From Open Science to Citizen Science: Openness and Art and Museum Libraries”, co-organized by the
Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Kunst- und Museumsbibliotheken (AKMB) and the Initiative Fortbildung.
On
the second day of the conference, the focus on Open Access will include both legal aspects and different solutions for infrastructure
and citizen science.
