As part of the cooperation between
the University of Applied Arts Vienna and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, a one-month internship will once again be offered
exclusively to a student of the University of Applied Arts Vienna in
August 2024.
The internship is intended to
provide insights into the operation of a museum (from catalog sales to answering visitors' questions to ticketing and office
work).
In addition, the internship offers the opportunity to visit a wide range of international lectures and museums.
The students participating in this program come from all over the world and can not only gain experience here, but also make
contacts with gallery owners and curators.
Application requirements1. Applicants must be studying
in the second stage of a diploma or master's degree program at the University of Applied Arts Vienna (Departments of Fine
and Media Arts, Design and all teacher training institutes). Bachelor students can participate from the 5th semester onwards.
We ask for your understanding that Erasmus students and doctoral students are excluded from the application.
2. Applicants
must not be older than 28 years of age
3. Applicants must have excellent language skills in English and a basic knowledge
of Italian. Advanced knowledge of Italian is an advantage.
Application documents1. personal details
including photo (first name and surname, address, telephone number, e-mail address, date and place of birth, nationality,
passport number, language skills)
2. copies of certificates (second degree or Master's degree is sufficient for diploma
studies)
3. letter of motivation in the length of one A4 page (1,800 characters incl. spaces) in both English and Italian
(Why I would like to do this internship)
4. at least 1 letter of recommendation from a lecturer of the relevant degree
program, further recommendations possible.
Selection procedureA jury selected by the University
of Applied Arts will invite the final round applicants to an interview. The date and time of the interview will be announced.
All documents must be submitted in full to the Department of Press and Communication digitally by May 17, 2024. The scholarship
holder will be notified by May 24, 2024 at the latest.
