Poetry Film Festival Vienna 2019

For all the ones, who want to join the festival: There is an international film competition called SPECIAL AWARD after a given festival poem. In 2019 we have chosen "First" by the Viennese writer Sophie Reyer. The festival offers a sound recording of the poem under Creative Commons for free including the English translation for subtitles for all participants. The main competition of the Vienna Poetry Film Festival will be again dedicated to German speaking countries only. Check the rules & guidelines of submitting to the Art Visuals & Poetry Film Festival Vienna. We will offer a large international side program at the festival, which is curated by director Sigrun Höllrigl.
During the festival pause the team is regularely organizing some additional film events to keep the interest alive. The next poetry film screenings will be on the 8th of January - About Maria Lassnig and on the 5 th of February 2019 - 8pm - Georgian film art. Retrospective Giga George Chkheidze. Check also our online magazine featuring the Irish Tom Speers and the Dutch Anna Eijsbouts, who won the main prizes at the ZEBRA Poetry Filmfestival 2018.
