NABA, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, as the lead institution of the P+ARTS project, is pleased to
present the conference Unframing Knowledge: Artistic Research Beyond Theory and Practice, which will be held through an international
Call for Papers. The event will take place in Naples, at the Accademia di Belle Arti and nearby venues, from October 27 to
29, 2025. The conference aims to explore artistic research methodologies by highlighting the intersection between art, emerging
technologies, and new ecologies, and by fostering a critical dialogue between theory and practice.
The P+ARTS project,
promoted under the National Recovery Plan and NextGenerationEU, seeks to innovate the international dimension of the Italian
Higher Education System in Arts, Music, and Performing Arts (AFAM) through enhancing educational offerings and promoting collaborative
synergies among artists, researchers, and institutions. The call invites contributions that explore definitions, methodologies,
and challenges in Artistic Research (AR), focusing on key areas such as its relationship with new technologies, the Mediterranean
context, and ecological and geopolitical issues.
Interested participants are invited to submit their abstracts
