Self-Presentation in Academia – Communicating Research with Clarity and Impact
Monday, 18 May 2026, 1 pm–5 pm
How can researchers present their work in a way that is clear, engaging, and convincing for different audiences? Whether presenting
at conferences, pitching research ideas, or speaking in academic and interdisciplinary contexts, effective self-presentation
is a key academic skill.
This interactive workshop focuses on strengthening participants’ ability to communicate their research with confidence and
purpose. Using the concept of storytelling as a guiding framework, participants will learn how to structure and present their
research as a coherent and compelling narrative. The workshop addresses both the content and the delivery of academic presentations
and offers practical tools that can be applied immediately in everyday academic contexts. Through input, exercises, and feedback,
participants will reflect on their own presentation style and further develop their communicative presence.
