The lecture
consists of three parts that include the following: Presentation of an Augmented Reality artistic project 6thSENSE, including
the presentation of the main feature of the artwork in comparison with other practices; the development and approach of creating
a work with an extended reality technology (AR) and its key features for sustainability; an overview of the position of Augmented
Reality art today.
The interdisciplinary artist MOON Martina Zelenika (1978, CRO), through
innovative methods, explores and creates art projects which are related to the theme of post-humanism. The main characteristic
of her work is the symbiosis of traditional techniques and the latest modern digital technology to expand reality, giving
us a broader image of the world we “exist” in. The artist MOON combines different media such as: moving image, music, poetry,
design, handmade drawings and reliefs, uses meditation practice (inner alchemy), creates interactive and new media art with
an interest in image sonification and data sonification from brain waves, motion sensors and X-ray laboratory analyses of
minerals. She has created art projects with Augmented Reality technology, 6th Sense with mobile app MSSS (2018) and La Petite
Mort with mobile app MoTHA (2019).
Zelenika graduated MA/BA at the Academy of Fine Arts of the University Zagreb and
took MA in the area of Video and New-media at the Academy of Visual Arts and Design of the Ljubljana University. She has been
awarded several well-regarded grants and scholarships, has participated at international conferences dedicated to digital
and multimedia art, exhibited at over 40 national and international exhibitions and festivals.
